The voice output is controlled by a volume control and two push buttons. When the buttons are pressed and released, simple updates are spoken. When the buttons are pressed and held for several seconds. more detailed reports are spoken. The scanner is 13.7"h x 13"w x13.7"d and weighs 33 lbs.

The voice-adapted G&D BPS C-1 Currency Scanner identifies and counts up to 1300 bills per minute, while identifying and sorting the denominations.
In "Detect Denomination" mode a single denomination is sorted into the bottom tray and all non-matching bills are off-sorted into the top tray. In "Mixed Mode" all bills are totalled.
The scanner may be set to face bills portrait side up and then orient the portraits left to right for bundling a bank deposit. Adusting these and other features is supported by the voice to enable maximum independence for vision impaired users.
Raised buttons can be marked with the dots provided to indicate commonly used keys.
The top folds back from the base for easy cleaning or clearing of jams.
